NOTES"When someone asks me this question, I always tell them that you can't compare tea with coffee; both are good in their own ways. Facebook and Twitter are two different branches of social media. There's no doubt that Facebook is the ultimate mecca for connecting with your social circle, mostly peers and family you know very well. Facebook is great for keeping yourself updated with your social circle and this is why it's a phenomenal success for building a more 'personal' relationship with your friends. On the other hand, there's Twitter. Think of Twitter as you attending a conference where you get to give a handshake to everyone and converse with them quickly. The major difference between the two networks is the way information is passed. On Facebook, you need to connect first with people before you share a content...while on Twitter, you can get quick info without any obligation to follow anyone. In short, Facebook focuses on people and profiles - while Twitter focuses on the actual info shared ( what you call 'tweets' )."

Activity 2: 30 Minutes
Now that you've completed this topic, let's apply some of what you've learned to your your favorite business or any business you're familiar with.
Find out what online opportunities exist for that business by completing the following tasks:
- Search for the business on a search engine. How high up in the search results does the website appear? What information about the business is displayed?
- Does the business appear on any digital channels other than their website within the search results? Example: Does the business use search ads, social media, or local listings?
- List the online opportunities the business is currently taking advantage of. Next, jot down which opportunities are still available to help with future improvements, such as adding the business to local listings or improving SEO performance.
